Our Difference
Boutique by Design…
Small classes allow us to provide the level of coaching every client deserves.
Because when an instructor knows your body, your goals and your movement patterns, your Pilates experience becomes safer, more effective and far more rewarding.
At Sage, you're never just another reformer in a row.
We know your:
• name
• goals
• injuries
• strengths
• movement patterns
Because every body deserves to be seen.
Our Philosophy
Movement is a skill.
It should be taught with precision, intention and understanding—not simply repeated.
Our approach combines decades of experience in classical ballet, Pilates, rehabilitation and movement education to create classes that are thoughtful, effective and personalised.
We don't simply teach exercises. We teach people how to move well.
Expertise You Can Feel
-
My life has taken me many places. I grew up in Gosford in ballet studios, became a showgirl at eighteen and ended up in The Bahamas. After four years dancing professionally, I decided to teach Classical Ballet and Pilates and studied to teach both at the same time. Certifying from the Royal Academy of Dance and STOTT Pilates in Canada, I realised teaching Pilates was my real passion. I have always been fascinated by how the body moves.
I opened my first studio in The Bahamas in 2001 which is still in operation today. After selling my share, I moved to Canada in 2008. I learned a lot by teaching side by side next to amazing physiotherapists and experienced Pilates teachers for many years.
I opened Gosford Pilates in 2017 and love being home. I love watching my clients become stronger with more balance as they get into their 60’s and 70’s and beyond. I love watching them create more efficient muscle firing patterns, improve their every day lives and their sports. I am not interested in burning calories or sculpting the “perfect” body. I am interested in changing people’s lives by ensuring they do not fall, or if they do, they do not break anything. Making sure they can lift their shopping or run to catch a bus.
I have attended every course in body movement and therapy that I have been able to for the last twenty six years and I have brought this knowledge together to create my personal teaching approach. Not just a workout, but a form or exercise based therapy. I believe in Prehab, to prevent Rehab. I believe we can only learn and improve in a positive, happy environment.

• how to improve movement rather than simply complete an exercise
About Millie
-
Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began dancing at just three years old and spent the next 25 years training in classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. That journey eventually took me overseas, where I had the incredible opportunity to dance professionally in Madrid.
When my performing career came to an end, I knew I wasn't ready to leave movement behind. I found my passion in teaching, spending almost a decade helping everyone from tiny toddlers taking their first dance class to adults rediscovering their confidence through movement.
Pilates became the natural next chapter.
For the past five years I've dedicated myself to teaching Pilates in all its forms, working with clients of every age and ability. From complete beginners to experienced movers, pregnancy and postnatal clients, injury rehabilitation, older adults wanting to stay strong and mobile, and athletes looking to improve performance, I love helping people move with confidence.
My passion for rehabilitation is also deeply personal.
After years of dancing, I developed a hip injury caused by femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and a torn labrum. Living with ongoing pain changed the way I understood movement. Through my own rehabilitation, I experienced firsthand how powerful Pilates can be—not just for building strength, but for restoring confidence, improving movement patterns and returning to the activities you love.
That experience transformed the way I teach. I understand the frustration of being injured, the fear of moving, and the patience required throughout recovery. It's why I have a particular passion for helping clients manage injuries, reduce pain and rebuild strength safely and effectively.
Whether we're working on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Oov, TRX, Barre or Mat, my focus is always on quality movement rather than simply completing exercises. Every session is designed to suit the individual, because no two bodies—or journeys—are the same.
My goal is simple: to help you move better, feel stronger, build confidence in your body, and enjoy movement for life.
I can't wait to welcome you into the studio and be part of your movement journey.

Reformer Levels
Three levels. One journey. Your pace.
Our Reformer classes are thoughtfully designed to meet you where you are and support you as you grow. With three progressive levels, you can build confidence, strength and movement quality at a pace that feels right for your body.
Level 1 — Foundation
Perfect for beginners or those returning to movement. Learn the essentials while developing core connection, stability, alignment and body awareness through controlled, intentional movement.
Level 2 — Build
Ideal once you’re comfortable with the foundations. Build strength, mobility, coordination and endurance through longer flows and progressive exercise variations.
Level 3 — Evolve
Created for experienced movers ready for greater challenge. Explore dynamic sequences and more complex variations, with a focus on power, precision, control and performance.
Not sure which level is right for you? Our experienced instructors will guide you toward the class that best supports your body, experience and goals.
Studio Circuit
One studio. Seven stations. Full body. Total connection.
Our signature Studio Circuit class takes you through seven unique movement stations: Reformer, Mat, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, Barre, Oov Pilates and TRX Pilates.
Each station offers a different movement experience, thoughtfully combined to build strength, improve mobility, enhance balance and develop greater stability, coordination and body awareness.
With small class numbers and expert guidance, exercises can be adapted to suit your individual needs and experience. Expect a balanced, full-body session that keeps you moving, challenges you in new ways and helps you feel stronger and more connected.
Seven stations. One empowering class. Move with intention and connect in every direction.
Barre Fusion
Reformer Pilates meets Barre.
Barre Fusion is our signature hybrid class, combining the precision and spring resistance of Reformer Pilates with the strength, endurance and elegance of barre-inspired movement.
Alternating between Reformer sequences and barre work, this low-impact, full-body class builds functional strength, improves posture and balance, develops core control and enhances muscular endurance.
Expect controlled movements, intentional time under tension and a satisfying full-body challenge, with the Reformer providing support where needed.
Low impact. High intensity. Strong, balanced and empowered.
Restore Reformer
Slow down. Release. Restore.
Restore Reformer is a calm, restorative class designed to help you slow down, reset and reconnect with your body. Using the support of the Reformer, this gentle, low-intensity session combines mindful movement, mobility work, supported stretching and deep breathing.
The class focuses on releasing tension, improving flexibility and mobility, calming the nervous system and supporting recovery. Each movement is performed slowly and intentionally, giving your body the time and space it needs to unwind.
Expect to leave feeling lighter, looser, grounded and completely restored.
Cardio Reformer
Pilates. Cardio. Strength. All on the Reformer.
Cardio Reformer is a fun, energising class that uses the jumpboard to combine Pilates-based movement with controlled, low-impact cardio intervals.
Designed to elevate your heart rate, build full-body strength and improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance, this class delivers plenty of intensity while remaining supportive and kind to your joints.
Expect dynamic jumpboard sequences, functional strength work, core control and feel-good music in an uplifting, supportive environment.
Low impact. High intensity. Strong, energised and empowered. All levels are welcome.
